Pinole City Council Agenda: Litigations and Properties Review

Tuesday night's Pinole City Council agenda includes several closed session items involving ongoing and new litigations, plus a conference with a property negotiator.

Pinole City Council will meet tonight to discuss several items in a closed session before reconvening with the public to share the outcomes. On the table is existing litigation between the United Professional Firefighters (UPF) of Contra Costa County, Local 1230 and the City of Pinole.

In July of 2011, UPF of Contra Costa County filed an unfair practice charge alleging that the City of Pinole violated the Meyer-Milias Brown Act by refusing to meet and by making unilateral changes to terms and conditions of employment for employees.

Council members will also meet with a property negotiator regarding four Pinole properties:
1. Gateway West
2. Gateway East -- Pinole Valley Rd, in front of Kaiser
3. Gateway East -- Corner of Pinole Valley Rd. & I-80 off ramp
4. Gateway East -- Corner of Henry Rd. & Pinole Valley Rd.
