The police department is responsible for crime prevention, traffic control, code enforcement, criminal investigations…More and general patrol. Within the department are divisions for crime investigation, community preservation and safety and property evidence. There is a watch commander assigned 24 hours a day.</p> <p>The department sponsors neighborhood watch programs, which rely on residents' training and participation. The police chief is Paul Clancy.</p>
