City of Pinole: Community Development Department

<p>This department is composed of the building and planning divisions, redevelopment of both commercial and residential properties and code enforcement/rental inspection. Often working in coordination, these sub-departments process applications for development and update various elements of the city's General Plan.</p> <p>They also enforce laws and municipal codes regarding areas such as electrical, plumbing and general building construction and operation. The redevelopment division oversees new construction and improvements in designated zones of the city. It also administers an affordable housing program.</p>
