Cost Per Square Foot: Homes In Pinole, Hercules That Have A Higher Price Tag

You get what you pay for, the old saying goes.

That's true for homes as much as anything.

With that in mind, we thought we'd take a look this week at houses that cost more per square foot that most homes in their area.

There are a lot of reasons for the higher price tag. Location is probably the main reason. There can also be amenities as well as the size of the yard.

In Hercules, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 103 Bedford is listed at $383,000.

It's 1,149 square feet, which means its costs more than $300 per square foot.

The residence is described as sitting on "premium large lot" and having updated kitchen and bathrooms.

In Pinole, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 2625 Woodside Court is listed at $425,000.

It's 1,244 square feet, which means it also costs more than $300 a square foot.

The residence is described at a "piece of Paradise" with a spacious floor plan and beautiful back yard.
