Transit Center, Lighting Districts on Hercules Council Agenda

The council will also discuss renaming the Willow Avenue overcrossing when it meets on Tuesday evening

The Hercules City Council will consider an extension of an agreement with a construction consultant involved in the Intermodal Transit Center project when it meets on Tuesday evening.

The council meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers at Hercules City Hall, 111 Civic Drive.

The council will be asked to approve a 12-month extension of the city's contract with d'Oro Construction Management at a cost not to exceed $180,000.

The firm has been helping plan the $76 million transit center, which is at the core of the proposed Hercules Bayfront Transit Village.

The council will also look at the proposed assessments for the various lighting districts in town for this fiscal year.

Also on the agenda is a resolution urging the state Legislature to rename the Willow Avenue overcrossing at Highway 4 as the Joe Eddy McDonald Memorial Overcrossing in honor of the former mayor who died last year.
