Three More Pull Papers for City Council Race

Two councilmen indicated their plans to defend their seats come the November Hercules City Council election.

Three more residents pulled nomination papers for the November Hercules City Council election.

Mayor Dan Romero and Councilman William Wilkins indicated their plans to run again in November. Former Citizens Finance Advisory Ad Hoc Committee Chair Hector Rubio also pulled papers Tuesday, joining attorney Bill Kelly, who pulled his nomination packet Monday.

Candidates must be registered voters living in Hercules. Completed nomination papers must be submitted by Friday, August 10, 2012. If an incumbent fails to submit a nomination petition for re-election, the deadline for submitting a nominations petition is extended an additional five calendar days, August 15, 2012, according to a city notice about the filing period.
