Sycamore Avenue Open to Traffic

Sycamore Avenue is now open to traffic from beginning to end. Part of the street was closed to accommodate construction for the Sycamore North project, while nearby streets were turned into .  

Financial restraints forced the city to stop construction in the spring, but the street remained closed along Sycamore North. After complaints from residents and business owners near the building, the city re-opened the street late last week for the time being.

A new crosswalk, stop legend and stop sign were installed by city staff in anticipation of the street’s opening.
