Supervisor Glover Offers Grant Writing Workshop
Event to focus on finding funding for non-profit organizations and agencies.
In this era of budget cuts, community-based organizations, nonprofits and even government agencies, which form the safety net for the less fortunate in our society, have had to seek funding from nontraditional sources
For the past four years, Contra Costa County Supervisor Federal Glover has been sponsoring workshops covering the finer points of writing grant applications. Because of the new boundaries for District V, which Glover represents, this is the first time the workshop will be offered outside of east Contra Costa.
"I realize that the economy is bad and that a lot of agencies can no longer depend on government to fund their programs," Glover said. "We all need to be creative in finding alternative funding sources."

The next workshop will be Feb. 29, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at:
