Pinole Council Will Meet with School Board This Week

The two groups will discuss school construction and safety.

Two weeks after the Hercules City Council met with the West Contra Costa Unified School District Board of Education, the school board will meet with the Pinole council.

The Pinole council will convene a meeting with the school board at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Pinole City Hall, 2131 Pear St.

The two groups will discuss school safety, in the way of school resource officers and security cameras at Pinole Valley High School.

They'll also discuss the design and future construction of a new campus for Pinole Valley High School, and the status of construction at Pinole Middle School.

Following the joint session, the Pinole council will convene to discuss fire protection.

What should the Hercules council and school board discuss at the meeting? What issues need to be addressed? Tell us in the comments section below.

I was surprised to see that Pinole Middle School has a rating of 3 out of 10! Some time ago, I offered help in science instruction - I am a chemical engineer, worked for Chevron - bu t the principals of high and middle school said they do not need any help! I think they do - badly!
