Pinole City Manager's Report

Wastewater plant status, mayor's address, utility users tax renewal and budget review.

Pinole City Manager Belinda Espinosa's weekly report includes an explanation of the legal intricacies of the partnership between Pinole and Hercules in operating the shared wastewater treatment plant. The explanation arose from a resident's request for clarifications about the nature of the existing agreement between the two cities.

The report also notes the pending renewal of the city utility users tax in the context of a mid-year city budget review scheduled for the March 20 city council meeting.

Finally, the report includes a reminder about the Mayor Pete Murray's State of the City address at a March 7 Pinole Chamber of Commerce luncheon and a request for organizations to submit projects for Community Service Day on June 2.
