Hercules Council Scheduled To Approve Budget

The City Council is also scheduled to approve an agreement to sell the Sycamore Crossing property

The Hercules City Council is scheduled to approve a new budget and sell some property at its Tuesday evening meeting.

The council meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 111 Civic Drive.

On the agenda is the adoption of the city's $12.9 million budget for fiscal year 2014, which begins July 1. As part of the budget, council members are expected to approve agreements between the city and several employee groups. 

The council is also scheduled to adopt the first year of the city's five-year capital improvement budget.

The council is also being asked to approve an agreement to set up the sale of the Sycamore Crossing property at Sycamore Drive and San Pablo Avenue to Property Development Centers LLC. The subsidiary of Safeway has plans to build a supermarket there.
