Hercules City Manager to Take Post in Antioch

Hercules will need a new city manager now that Steven Duran is leaving to be the chief administrator in Antioch

Officials in the East Contra Costa County city of 105,000 are expected to approve the contract on Dec. 10, and Duran will start his new job in January, according to the Contra Costa Times

Duran arrived in Hercules in 2011, a time when the city was reeling from a financial crisis. He had previously been the Economic Development Director in Richmond.

Hercules City Council will have a special meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. to discuss Duran's resignation.
