Continuing investigation of the Aug. 6 Chevron oil refinery fire could lead to federal regulation reform and possibly to prosecution of the company, according to a Contra Costa Times article.
The Times quoted members of the U.S. Chemical Safety Board the federal Environmental Protection Agency who spoke during a public meeting at Richmond City Hall on Monday.
Representatives of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District and the county health department also attended the meeting.
