Burger King Facelift, Martial Arts Academy Come to Planning Commission
Monday meeting addresses use permit application for a Taekwondo Academy in Del Monte Shopping Center.
A martial arts academy and a fast-food chain will bring projects to the Pinole Planning Commission Monday night.
The commission will consider a use permit for the Soaring Eagles Taekwondo Academy at 620 San Pablo Ave., in the Del Monte Shopping Center. The academy would like to operate in a 1,651-square-foot space in the strip mall.
The restaurant at 1571 Fitzgerald Dr. is seeking approval for a remodeling of the 2,745-square-foot building's exterior.

The commission also will discuss selection of its chair and vice-chair and hold a workshop on a county Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday in City Council Chambers, 2131 Pear St.
