Yard Duty from Hercules Busted for Alleged Pot Possession in Marin City

The man alleges he had forgotten to bring his medical marijuana card with him, Marin County Sheriff's officials explain.

A Hercules man working as a yard duty in Marin City has been arrested for possession of marijuana, according to a Marin County Sheriff's Department report.

Tino Lamont Wilson, 20, was arrested at 30 Cole Drive after confessing to an on-duty street patrol deputy that he was in possession of the illegal narcotics. According to Sheriff's Lt. Jamie Scardina, Wilson alleged he possessed a medical marijuana card but could not produce it at the time.

Scardina explained the deputy had prior knowledge of Wilson and was aware of the man's prior history of drug possession, which factored into his initial confrontation with the suspect.

The 30 block of Cole Drive is a known area for high crime, including narcotics sales and gang violence, Scardina said.

Wilson was booked at the Marin County main jail. His bail is set at $25,000.

Joshua: Have you been out Google-ing "Hercules" today? I think that there's bigger and more important news out there than this. Come on dude, why don't you take a "Staab" at something more important and relevant to our community. Work a little harder for your measly 8 bucks an hour that your news organization is grubbingly handing over to you down at Patch acres. I don't care a hoot about some poor man who got busted with a joint. This is news?

The Hercules-Pinole Patch appears to be mostly a crime report. Someone passed fake money in Pinole. Wow. Yet, the Hercules-Pinole Patch doesn't publish useful articles, such as the advertising of WCCUSD meetings. The El Cerrito Patch does advertise these meetings. But if a teacher at Hercules Middle school gets busted with weed and cash, then it is worth telling us about. The following are the lyrics from the Don Henley (of Eagles fame) song, Dirty Laundry. "I make my living off the Evening News Just give me something-something I can use People love it when you lose, They love dirty laundry Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here I just have to look good, I don't have to be clear Come and whisper in my ear Give us dirty laundry Kick 'em when they're up Kick 'em when they're down Kick 'em when they're up Kick 'em when they're down Kick 'em when they're up Kick 'em when they're down Kick 'em when they're up Kick 'em all around We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who Comes on at five She can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam In her eye It's interesting when people die- Give us dirty laundry. We can do "The Innuendo" We can dance and sing When it's said and done we haven't told you a thing We all know that Cr_p is King Give us dirty laundry!"

I wanted to comment to the great marijuana discussion on patch a couple of weeks ago after last weeks shooting in Sandy Hook, CT. The drugs (tranquilizers & anti depressants) prescribed to children often at an early age when diagnosed with conditions like autism & attention deficit disorders are done legally by the Psychiatric profession. To me those are the really dangerous drugs given to children to deaden their natural inclinations & to essentially form a new personality in them. Have you noticed in the news coverage of the massacre at Sandy Hook that almost all of the emphasis is on guns. It seems like they are covering up for the LEGAL DRUG PUSHING business of the psychology & psychiatry professionals. Can you imagine if marijuana was found in Adam's system? The outcry would be deafening!! If there were drugs in Adams system, the person prescribing them is possibly more guilty for the 28 murders than Adam. Those drugs are protected & propagated by our government & they keep marijuana illegal because that does not deaden the senses like the deadly phenothiazines but give people more insight. The want to keep the people under control & tranquilized.

How does one work as "a yard duty?" Was the suspect on probation with a search clause?
