Pinole police on Saturday sought a robber who targeted a bank.
The attempted robbery was reported at 1221 Tara Hills Drive about 3:30 p.m.
The suspect entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding cash, according to police.
When the teller did not comply with the demand, the suspect ran off, police said.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 40s or 50s, standing about 6 feet 4, with a thin build and short hair.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket and diamond-patterned tan pants, a dark-collared shirt and black dress shoes, according to police.
