Update: Man, Woman Found Dead Inside Pinole Home

A 25-year-old man who lived in the Tara Hills home with the couple has been arrested as police investigate what appears to be a double homicide

A middle-aged man and woman were found dead inside a Pinole home early Friday morning and a 25-year-old man who lived with them has been arrested.

Pinole police have still not released identities of the victims and suspect.

KTVU television reported Friday night that relatives told them the victims were 76-year-old Nona Flores and her 54-year-old son, Tony Flores.

The station reported the 25-year-old suspect is Jeffrey Thomas Flores, the grandson and nephew of the victims.

KTVU reported police have been called to the Flores' home in the past.

On Friday, authorities say officers were sent at 2:30 a.m. to the home in the 1100 block of Tara Hills Drive to check on an unknown disturbance.

After they arrived, officers said the 25-year-old suspect answered the door and told them there were injured people inside the house.

The officers found two dead people who appeared to be victims of homicide, authorities said.

Pinole Police Commander Neil Gang said the two victims appeared to be over the age of 50. One victim is male, the other female.

Gang said the two victims and the suspect all lived at the home. He said they are related, but investigators weren't sure of the exact relationship.

Gang said the two victims were not shot, but he wouldn't say how they died.

The home is less than two blocks from a shopping center that contains a Pizza Hut and a Bank of America.

Property records show the residence is a three-bedoom, two-bathroom house on a quarter-acre lot.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Pinole police at 510-724-8950.
