Tampered Water Meter, Grand Theft, Vandalism, More (Police Log)

A summary of recent police activity in Hercules.

Thursday, Feb. 21 

Vandalism: 8:07 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Partridge. The reporting party said and unknown person(s) shattered the driver’s side window of her 2001 Toyota. The incident occurred between 5:00 a.m. and the time of call.

Grand Theft: 10:31 a.m., a citizen came to the Hercules Police Lobby, to report a theft. The reporting party is a property owner of a business in the 500 block of Alfred Nobel. She stated her former tenants stole the furniture she had placed in the offices.

Mental Health Evaluation: 8:36 p.m. Hercules officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Railroad Ave. The reporting party said an adult male had been sitting outside a business for about 30 minutes, and seemed disoriented. Officers contacted the male. It was determined the male met the criteria for a Mental Health Evaluation. He was transported to the County Regional Medical Center, by ambulance.

Friday, Feb. 22

Stolen Vehicle: 7:19 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Pavon. The reporting party said, that between 5:30pm on Feb. 21, 2013 and time of call, and unknown person(s) stole her white 1997 Nissan Sentra from the drive way of her residence. The vehicle was later recovered on Hercules Ave. and returned to the registered owner.

Traffic Collision: 10:23 a.m., officers were dispatched to Sycamore at Turquoise for a traffic collision with possible injuries. The involved vehicles were a silver Dodge Nitro and a gray Chevy Trailblazer. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. The driver of the Dodge was transported to a local hospital with complaint of pain.

Fraud: 10:06 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Basin Court. The reporting party said an unknown person(s) used a duplicate of one of his credit cards, without his permission, to purchase merchandise from a store.

Traffic Accident: 12:53 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Silver Maple for a vehicle verses canine collision. The dog, (which was off leash), darted into traffic and was fatally struck by a delivery truck.

Court Order Violation: 3:08 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1100 block Promenade. The reporting party said her baby’s father was sending her threatening texts in violation of a served Domestic Protective Order she has against him.

Vandalism: 5:14 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of Tidewater. The reporting party stated someone tampered with her water meter while she was away.

Saturday, Feb. 23

Possession of a Controlled Substance: 2:21 a.m., and officer made a traffic stop on San Pablo Ave, at Hercules Ave. The1999 Dodge Caravan was in violation of the basic speed law. The adult female driver consented to a search of her person and vehicle. The officer found a controlled substance in the female’s purse. The female was released pending further investigation.

Found Property: 3:02 p.m., an officer responded to the 1500 block of Sycamore. The reporting party said she found several credit cards on the ground in front of a business. The cards were logged into safekeeping.

Sunday, Feb. 24

Domestic Violence Restraining Order Violation: 9:21 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for having a headlight out. During the traffic stop the officer learned that the passenger was listed, as a restrained person, in a restraining order. He had been ordered not to be in the presence of the driver. 21-year-old Parrish Wallick, of Rodeo, was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Mental Health Evaluation: 9:34 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Oxford on a 911 disconnect. Upon arrival the officer contacted an adult female, who was threatening to hurt herself. The female was determined to meet the criteria for a Mental Health Evaluation. She was transported to the County Regional Medical Center, by ambulance.

Monday, Feb. 25

Search and Arrest Warrant Service: 11:52 a.m., officers responded to the 100 of Toyon Ct. for the search warrant service of a residence. Officers recovered several items of stolen property. Edward Garcia-Breslin, 49, was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Physical Altercation: 2:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Falcon for a physical altercation between two adult females. Upon arriving officers contacted both parties. They stated they were fighting over a minor issue and agreed to be civil with each other. Neither party wanted to press charges.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

Mental Health Evaluation: 12:39 a.m., Hercules units were dispatched to the 1500 block of Swallow Way. Officers contacted an adult male, at the location, and determined he met the criteria for a Mental Health Evaluation. He was transported to the County Regional Health Center, by ambulance.
