While officers were in route, dispatch advised one of the subjects was on the roof attempting to get into a window. The subject to gained entry and was inside the residence. Moments later, the reporting party said the subjects exited the residence and all four got into a white 1996 Honda van. Officers located the van as it turned onto Goldenrod from Columbine. A pursuit was initiated, after a traffic stop was attempted, and the driver of the Honda failed to yield. During the pursuit, the occupants of the van began to discard items out of the van including a loaded firearm.

The firearm was later determined to be associated with another residential burglary in the 200 block of Lilac Circle. The pursuit went on several city streets and continued onto I-80 WB. The Honda exited onto McDonald Ave, in Richmond, and continued onto San Pablo Ave. The Honda turned onto Cutting Blvd.  The pursuit was terminated, in front of Kennedy High School, for student safety. Shortly afterward, Richmond PD advised that the Honda had been located, unoccupied.  The vehicle was determined to have been stolen out of San Francisco, April 21, 2013.  Hercules PD responded and had the vehicle towed back to the Hercules Police Department for evidence. The residents, at the Goldenrod residence, were contacted.  Entry appeared to be through a bedroom window and the screen was removed. There is no known loss at this time.
