Police Log: Warrant Arrests, DUI, More

A summary of police activity in Hercules from Jan. 15 to Jan. 16.

Hercules Police responded to reports of a suspected intoxicated driver, a prisoner transport and a coroner case involving a deceased family member. Here is a look at some of those reports:

Tuesday, Jan. 15

7:27 a.m. - A reserve officer went to the San Joaquin County jail and picked up Alexander James Mason, 24. Mason was arrested for a Hercules PD warrant for spousal abuse. Mason was then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

1:22 p.m. - Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Swallow Way. The reporting party stated he found his 85-year-old father deceased. The deceased subject was determined to have past away from natural causes.

10:20 p.m. - An officer made contact with an adult male standing in the 800 block of Willow Ave. It was determined the subject had a non-citable, $5,000 warrant out of Sonoma County. Ali Vaziri, 28, of San Rafael, was arrested for the warrant and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

2:50 a.m. - Hercules units were dispatched to the 200 block of Falcon Way. The reporting party said a vehicle had crashed into a parked car. Upon arrival officers located the driver of a Mazda Miata talking to the residents of where the parked car was located. The Mazda was stuck in the middle of the street and had sustained severe damage to its right front. The driver of the Mazda had an odor of alcohol on his person and met the criteria of a person driving under the influence of alcohol. Nicholas Gee, 21, of Hercules, was arrested and cited and released to a responsible person.
