Pinole Police Log: Robbery, Marijuana Arrests, Store Burglaries

Some of the incidents that kept Pinole police officers busy last week

Some of the items listed on the Pinole Police Department logs from August 26 to August 30.

Monday, August 26

Burglary arrest: At 1:39 p.m., a suspect was arrested at the Target store on suspicion of burglary and violation of probation.

Vehicle burglary: At 3:42 p.m., police were notified that a car had been burglarized on the 1400 block of Fitzgerald Drive.

Strong-arm robbery: At 3:46 p.m., officers responded to a report of a theft at the Lucky store. One person was arrested for strong-arm robbery.

Hit-run incident: At 6:44 p.m., police were notified of a hit-and-run incident near San Pablo Avenue and Second Avenue.

Another hit-run: At 9:22 p.m., officers were informed of another hit-and-run incident in the 1300 block of Fitzgerald Drive.

Tuesday, August 27

Marijuana arrest: At 2:55 a.m., officers stopped a pedestrian on Limerick Road near Tara Hills Drive. The subject was cited for possession of marijuana.

Wednesday, August 28

School marijuana: At 9:45 a.m., a student at Pinole Valley High School was cited for possession of marijuana.

Store burglary: At 1:17 p.m., a suspect was arrested for burglary at the Target store.

Another burglary: At 5:12 p.m., another suspect was arrested at the Kmart store for burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Home burglary: At 6:45 p.m., officers were notified that a burglary had occurred at a home in the 2600 block of Emma Drive.

Thursday, August 29

Items stolen: AT 5:30 p.m., officers were informed that several items had been stolen from outside a home in the 3200 block of Estates Avenue.

Pedestrian arrest: At 11:39 p.m., officers stopped a pedestrian on Tennent Avenue near Orleans Drive. The person was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and obstruction of justice.

Friday, August 30

Double homicide: At 2:33 a.m., officers were called about a problem at a home on Tara Hills Drive. Upon arrival, officers found two dead people inside. A resident of the home was arrested. You can read more about this incident on this separate Patch story.

Home burglary: At 9:23 p.m., police were called about a burglary at a home in the 2600 block of Mendocino Drive.
