Pinole Police Log: Drunken Driving, Stolen Cars, Reckless Evasion

Some of the incidents that kept Pinole police officers busy last week

Here are some of the items listed on the Pinole Police Department logs from August 19 to August 23.

Monday, August 19

Drunken driving: Officers stopped a vehicle at 4:11 a.m. on Rising Glen Road near Marlesta Road. The motorist was cited for driving while intoxicated.

Mailboxes damaged: Police were notified at 7:38 a.m. that some mailboxes on Waterford Place had been vandalized.

Tuesday, August 20

Stolen vehicle: Officers attempted to stop a vehicle believed to be stolen at 12:21 a.m. on Appian Way near Tara Hills Drive. After a short chase, the driver was arrested on charges of vehicle theft and for warrants.

Driving drunk: A vehicle was stopped at 5:07 p.m. on the 600 block of San Pablo Avenue. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The car was towed.

Wednesday, August 21

Stolen car: Officers found a stolen car at 3:25 p.m. on the 1700 block of San Pablo Avenue.

Another stolen vehicle: At 11:26 p.m., officers located another stolen vehicle. This one was found on Lynn Drive near Sarah Drive.

Thursday, August 22

Intoxicated driving: A vehicle was stopped at 8:16 p.m. on Francis Drive near Fraser Court. Officers arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.

Pedestrian arrest: Officers arrested a pedestrian at 10:40 p.m. in the 2700 block of Pinole Valley Road for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Friday, August 23

Another DUI: A motorist was arrested at 11:16 a.m. in the 800 block of Allview Avenue for driving while intoxicated and driving without a license.

Evading police: Officers tried to stop a car at 10:14 p.m. in the 1200 block of Tara Hills Drive. After a short chase, the driver was arrested for reckless evading.
