Pinole Police Log: Drug Arrests, Loud Talking

Some of the incidents that kept Pinole police officers busy last week

Here are some of the items from the Pinole Police Department logs from August 5 to August 9.

Monday, August 5

Stolen car: Police were notified at 6:46 a.m. that a car had been stolen from the 2000 block of Hoke Drive.

Drug, burglary arrest: A suspect was arrested at 9:30 a.m. on possession of burglary tools and possession of a controlled substance after their vehicle was stopped by officers on Tara Hills Drive.

Drug arrests: Two people were arrested after officers stopped a vehicle at 7:51 p.m. in the 1600 block of San Pablo Avenue. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license. A passenger was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tuesday, August 6

Identity theft: At 12:35 p.m., police were notified that an identity theft had occurred in the 700 block of Pinole Valley Road.

Wednesday, August 7

Recycling bins: At 9:38 a.m., police received a report of someone going through the recycling bins in the 2400 block of Christian Court. The person was admonished by officers.

Another drug arrest: Two people were arrested after the vehicle was stopped by officers at 10:48 p.m. on Mahan Way. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance driving with a suspended license. A passenger was arrested on a warrant.

Thursday, August 8

Talkin' loud: Police were notified at 11:04 a.m. that screaming could be heard in the 2700 block of Terry Court. Officers determined it was just someone talking loudly.

Drunk in public: A man was arrested at 6:48 p.m. in Fernandez Park for public intoxication.

Friday, August 9

Speaker seller: Officers went to the Kmart parking lot at 5:05 p.m. to investigate a report of someone selling speakers there. The suspect was gone when officers arrived.
