Pickup Crashes into Sign & Guardrail; Driver 'Heavily Intoxicated," Police Say

The CHP took custody of the driver for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

 

A Hercules officer noticed a red Chevy pickup facing the wrong direction on Southbound San Pablo Avenue, Sunday afternoon, between Parker and Victoria Crescent West. 

"The Chevy appeared to have just been involved in a collision and the driver displayed signs of being heavily intoxicated," according to the Hercules Police Departemnt. "Upon further investigation, Officers observed that a sign, along the north/west curb line, had been sheared from its posts; and a guardrail was also damaged, including a red paint transfer. This area was determined to be county area and the California Highway Patrol responded.  The CHP took custody of the driver for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol."
