Photos Released of Man Suspected of Failed Bank Robbery

The suspect tried to rob a bank on Friday but fled empty-handed, police say.

PINOLE (BCN) - Pinole police have released photos of the man who attempted to rob a Bank of America in Pinole before fleeing on Friday afternoon.

The man walked into the Bank of America branch at 1221 Tara Hills Drive at approximately 3:40 p.m. and gave a hand written note to one of the bank tellers demanding cash, police said.

When the teller refused, the suspect fled on foot out the front doors and north through the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s or 50s, standing approximately 6 foot 3 inches to 6 foot 5 inches tall, with a thin build, dark complexion, and short hair.

He was also described as wearing a black jacket with diamond shaped patterns, tan pants, a dark collared shirt, and black dress shoes.
