Meth Bust Leads to 51-Year-Old Pinole Man's Arrest

Vandalism: On May 6, 2013, at about 10:05 am, an Officer responded to the Rite Aid parking lot, on Sycamore Ave.  The reporting party stated the owner of a 2008 Chrysler Sebring left the vehicle parked overnight while she was on vacation.  The reporting party found a window smashed out, but it does not appear as if any items are missing, and all of the doors were still locked.

Strong Arm Robbery: On May 6, 2013, at about 2:55 pm, Officers responded to Dorada Ct. The reporting party stated he, and another adult male, had a disagreement about the other male playing his radio too loud.  The reporting party (victim) started to write down the other male’s (suspect) license number when the suspect grabbed the victim’s notes and a bag containing medication.  The suspect left the scene. The plastic baggie, containing the victim’s medication, was located on the ground near the scene.  The notes were not located.

Stolen Vehicle: On May 6, 2013, at about 5:44 pm, a citizen reported that an unknown person stole his black 1993 2Dr Honda Civic from the parking lot across from the Shell gas station car wash (Sycamore and San Pablo Ave). The vehicle was taken sometime today between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Possession of Methamphetamine and paraphernalia: On May 6, 2013, at 11:19pm,  an officer conducted a traffic stop, on a Ford Aerostar, on Willow Ave at Hawthorne. The driver was driving on a suspended driver’s license. The officer towed the vehicle as there was no licensed driver in the van. The officer conducted inventory search of the vehicle, as part of the towing process.  The officer located a substance believed to be a controlled substance. 51 year old John Maroon, of Pinole, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
