Hit-run accident: At 8:09 p.m., officers went to Refugio Valley Road and Sycamore Avenue, where a man said his silver Toyota Highlander had been hit in that intersection by a person driving a white Dodge Ram 2500. The man said he and the other driver talked briefly, but the Dodge driver then drove off without providing any vehicle information. The Dodge owner wasn't located. Neither the man nor the 5-week-old passenger in the Toyota were injured.

Evading officers: At 3:29 a.m., an officer tried to stop a gold Cadillac Escalade at Willow Avenue and San Pablo Avenue. The driver sped up and drove onto Interstate 80. The motorist accerlerated to 80 miles per hour, then exited at John Muir Parkway. The vehicle then went onto Tsushima, made a U-turn, crossed San Pablo Avenue against a red light and re-entered the freeway. The driver sped up to 90 miles per hour and the chase was terminated for safety reasons. The officer obtained the Cadillac's license plate number and the investigation is continuing.
