Hercules Police Log: Beer Theft, Neighbor Threat, Fence Crash

Here are some of the items from the Hercules Police Department log in the past week.

Friday, June 7

Stolen beer: Police officers went to the Lucky store on Sycamore Avenue at 8:33 a.m. Employees reported two men stole a pair of 30-pack Budweiser beer cases. The workers said one man was parked outside in a Jeep with the passenger door open. The other man walked out of the store with the beer and jumped into the vehicle. They then drove off.

Stolen car: At 8:56 a.m., a woman reported her 1998 Acura Integra was stolen overnight from the 1500 block of Swallow Way.

Saturday, June 8

Knife threat: Police went to an apartment complex on the 1400 block of Forest Run at 8:07 p.m. A resident said his downstairs neighbor had threatened to kill him while holding a butcher knife. Police arrested the 29-year-old neighbor on charges of making criminal threats and brandishing a weapon.

Sunday, June 9

Car theft: At 11:46 a.m., a woman told police her unlocked Pasaat had been stolen from South Shelter Bay between midnight and 11 a.m.

Monday, June 10

Fence crash: A resident of Redwood Road called police at 12:59 p.m. to report a neighbor's car had crashed through the fence in his front yard. The car was lodged in the debris and unable to move.

DUI arrest: A male driver was stopped for speeding on San Pablo Avenue at 11:45 p.m. Officers said the 32-year-old man was intoxicated and was arrested for driving under the influence. He was later cited and released to his wife.

Tuesday, June 11

Tire theft: Police went to a home on the 100 block of Dartford, where a resident told them the tires on his 2005 GMC Yukon had been stolen overnight. The vehicle was parked in the driveway.
