Hercules Police Blotter: 'You Will Have to Fight Me for the Shoes!'

The Hercules Police Department selected and wrote the following items. 

Stolen Vehicle: On November 14, 2013, at 8:54am, an officer responded to the 100 block of Ridgepoint Ct.  The reporting party stated she parked her 2013 Lexus RX350, in her garage, on November 13th, about 9:30 pm.   She left the key in the center console, and left the doors unlocked.  She thought she closed the garage door. This morning she discovered the vehicle missing and the garage door open.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: On November 14, 2013, at 1130am, an Officer was dispatched to the1100 block of Cottage Ln.   The reporting party said a vehicle was blocking the driveway of the residence.  The officer located a Red 89 Nissan 240SX which was confirmed to be an outstanding stolen vehicle, reported to Antioch P.D. yesterday, 11/13/13.

Hit-and-Run: On November 14, 2013 at 5:26pm an officer was dispatched to the Hercules Library parking lot.  The reporting party said someone hit her ’12 Acura MDX, while she was in the library giving an Animal Control presentation, and did not leave any contact information. Damage was limited to the lower right corner of the rear bumper, which was dented and gouged, consistent with a tow hitch.

Suspected Mail Theft: On November 14, 2013 at 5:44pm an officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Falcon Way. A Hercules resident found scattered mail, in the 500 block of Falcon Way, during his evening walk. Preliminary investigation determined 3-4 household were affected.

Mutual Combat: On November 14, 2013, at 7:03 pm, officers were dispatched to the Jack in the Box, 3800 San Pablo Ave for a physical altercation between several male juveniles. Officers arrived on scene and found one male sitting near the drive through, bleeding from his mouth and nose. Officers also contacted another male juvenile who stated two of the subjects had arranged a shoe (Nike Jordan) trade and agreed to meet at the Jack-in-the-Box. The subjects exchanged shoes, but the first male did not like the shoes he received and he wanted his shoes back.  The other subject said “No, you will have to fight me for the shoes.” Several other juveniles were involved in the physical altercation. None of the parties present wanted prosecution. The report was taken for documentation purposes.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: On November 14, 2013, at 8:36 pm, officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Partridge for a recovered stolen vehicle report. The vehicle, a 95 Infiniti, was parked in the street in front of a residence. The vehicle was reported stolen to Richmond PD on 11-12-13. A shaved key was found inside the vehicle.

November 15

Residential Burglary: On November 15, 2013, at 7:41, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Pheasant for a residential burglary report. The time frame was 8:15 am- 7:40 pm. The reporting party found his front door ajar. It appeared the suspect used bodily force to open it. The inside of the residence was ransacked.

Identity Theft: On November 15, 2013 at 3:17pm, an officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Ash Ct.  The reporting party was contacted by Wells Fargo Bank, on 11/8/13, about some fraudulent activity on her three different checking accounts.

Battery: On November 15, 2013 at 3:33pm, officers were dispatched to the Hercules Middle High School (HMHS) football field for a report of a physical altercation between four students. When officers arrived on scene, they located one of the involved parties, a fifteen year old female, who told officers she was “JUMPED” by three fifteen year old female students. The victim said she was hit at least two times by each suspect. The victim did not have any visible injuries and did not complain of any pain. The suspects are known and the investigation is continuing.

Grand Theft: Grand Theft: On November 15, 2013 at 4:18pm the owners of Hercules Dental, 500 Alfred Nobel, Suite 130, reported the theft of two high speed hand pieces, and the loss/theft of a digital x-ray sensor. The thefts were only recently discovered and the time frame, established by the owner, is between September 2013 and time of call.

November 16

Burglary: On November 16, 2013 at 11:27am, an officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of Promenade St to investigate a report of theft from the garage.  The reporting party said she found her rear gate, propped open with a brick, on 11/15/13, at about 4:30pm.  She also found her side garage door open, and several items had been taken from just inside the doorway.  The victim located part of her loss on the nearby walking path.  She inventoried the loss and contacted HPD the following day.  The victim stated she does not use the gate, or garage, regularly and it had been about a week since she last saw the garage or gate undisturbed.  

Theft: On November 16, 2013 at 6:00pm, an officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Sycamore Ave (Rite Aid) for a report of a theft. The reporting party said her purse was stolen from her shopping cart while she was shopping at Ride Aid.

Mental Health Evaluation: On November 16, 2013, at 9:05 pm, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Lighthouse for a family altercation. Officers found several family members trying to restrain an adult male.  It was determined the male was a danger to himself, and others, and met the criteria for a Mental Health Evaluation. He was transported, by ambulance, to County Regional Health Center.
