Hercules Police Blotter: Identity Theft, Stolen Vehicle

The Hercules Police Department selected and wrote the following items: 

Stolen Vehicle:
On Dec. 11 at approximately 11:50 a.m., a ’91 Honda Preiude was stolen from the Social Services parking  lot. The vehicle had a soccer bai! sticker on the driver side rear quarter panei, and a SJSU sticker on the rear window. The suspect vehicle is a white Dodge Durango. Two subjects were seen leaving Durango, and approaching victim oar. 

Identity Theft: On Dec. 12 a Hercules resident received a phone call from a suspect who called himself “Amrik”. The victim believed it was his friend Amrik. The caller asked for money because the caller's spouse was in the hospital. The victim loaded a cash card with $250 and subsequently sent the account number to the suspect. The caller turned  out not to be his friend. 

Unauthorized Use of Access Card: On December 12, 2013, a Hercules resident reported her VFSA account information was used to make bogus charges totaling approximately $1,300. 

Warrant Arrest: On Dec. 13 at 2:41 a.m., an officer saw two vehicles parked on the east side of Wiiiow Food & Liquor. One of the occupants, 35-year-oid Javier Santana of Rodeo, had a $10,000 misdemeanor warrant out of Alameda County He was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Faciiity. 

Possession of Stolen Property; Identity Theft; Warrant Arrest: On Dec. 13, 29-year-old Jennifer Joseph, a transient from Antioch, was a passenger in a vehicie stopped for a traffic violation. it was determined she had a felony no-bail warrant originating from Richmond PD. Joseph had several drivers licenses, and other papers, which did not belong to her. Joseph was Charged with Possession of Stolen Property; Possession of a False Driver’s License; Identity Theft; and Violation of Probation, She transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. 

Driving under the Influence of Alcohol; Collision:   On Dec. 15, 2013 at 2:34 a.m. an officer was dispatched to Refugio Valley Road for a report of a light pole that was down. The officer found the light pole lying on the ground. It appeared the pole was hit by a black vehicle. The officer followed the radiator fluid westbound on Refugio Valley Road and he found the black vehicle parked in the Lucky’s parking lot. The vehicle had front-end damage. The driver was found standing next to her vehicle. The driver said she was driving the vehicle when something hit her vehicle. The driver had objective symptoms of alcohol consumption and she was given the Standard Field Sobríety Tests. She was determined to have been Driving Under the influence of Alcohol and was arrested. 
 
Possession of a Fraudulently Obtained Driver’s License: On Dec. 15 at 11:40 a.m. an officer stopped a Black ’09 Mercedes CLS 550 for having no license plates. The stop occurred in the 1500 block of Sycamore Avenue. The vehicie’s two iicense plates were found to be inside the vehicle. The driver admitted to being on searchable probation out of Alameda County. Two GBUS, a Visa card, a Sociai Security Card, and a US Passport were found in the subject’s possession. 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: On Dec. 15 at 11:15 p.m., an officer ran the license plate of en unoccupied 96 Honda Prelude parked at 605 Parker Avenue in Rodeo. The vehicle was reported Stolen to Pinole PD on Dec. 13 

Hit and Run: On Dec. 16 at 5:58 a.m, a Milpitas resident reported her '01 gray Nissan Maxima was struck, by an unknown vehicle while parked on Olive Court. The incident occurred between 11 p.m. Sunday night and the time of cali. She did not hear or see anything suspicious during the night.
