Hercules PD Watch Commander's Report for Oct. 9

Officers responded to an attempted burglary and a man who was threatening to kill his mother.

The following police blotter items are selected and written by the Hercules Police Department. 

Attempt Residential Burglary: On Oct. 9 at 9 a.m., a resident in the 100 block of South Wildwood reported finding the rear sliding glass door screen had been ripped and removed from the door. The screen was discarded over the fence to the rear of the enclosed patio. The resident said she last saw the screen intact on October 3. 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: On Oct. 9 at 9:05 a.m., a resident in the 100 block of Sequoia called to report an unfamiliar unoccupied white truck parked for a couple of days. An officer responded and located the truck, which had been reported stolen. The vehicle was recovered and removed from the stolen vehicle system.

Mental Health Evaluation: On Oct. 9 at 9:42 p.m., Officers were dispatched to Thrush Court regarding a 29-year-old male who is clinically diagnosed as being bi-polar and has not been taking his medication. Upon arrival it was determined that the subject had broken several items inside the residence and threatened to kill his mother. He was subsequently transported to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center by AMR for a mental health evaluation.
