Hercules Man Arrested on Suspicion of Punching Round Table Pizza Employee in Face

Matisse Zapata, 25, was arrested on battery charges.

A 25-year-old man was arrested in Hercules last weekend after allegedly punching an employee at Round Table Pizza, according to police.
 
Officers responded around 3:50 p.m. on June 8 to a report of a battery at the Round Table Pizza at 1511 Sycamore Ave., police said. Police said workers at the pizzeria reported that a man entered the store and punched one of the employees. Officers searched the area and found a man matching the suspect description.

The employee who was attacked was brought to the scene and identified the man as the one who had punched him, police said.
 
The suspect was identified as Matisse Zapata of Hercules. He was arrested on suspicion of battery and taken to county jail in Martinez.
