Driver Runs From Stolen Honda During Police Chase (Police Log)

These descriptions were provided by the Hercules Police Department: 

Suspicious Circumstance: On April 18, 2013, at 12:10pm, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Willow Ave.  An adult female told officers she was picked up, on Sonoma Blvd, in Vallejo by an unknown adult African American male, driving a gray or Tan Honda. There was an adult African American passenger in the car.  Powell thought the couple was taking her home (Vallejo); instead they drove to the 800 block of Willow Ave, and dropped her off. The reporting party was not injured. The reporting party said she had been kidnapped. Vallejo PD was contacted and the reporting party was instructed to contact Vallejo PD.

Vehicle Theft/Possession of Stolen Property/ Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident/ Driving with a Suspended License:

On April 18, 2013, at 1:34pm, officers were dispatched to San Pablo Ave and Sycamore Ave for a hit and run collision. The caller stated the driver, of the responsible vehicle, (Honda Civic) had fled the scene, and was last seen running eastbound on Sycamore Ave towards the Creekside Shopping Center. The Honda was reported stolen to Vallejo PD earlier in the day. The driver of the victim’s vehicle, declined medical attention, but had road-rash type injuries on his right arm. Minutes later Officers located an adult female, to rear of the businesses, at the Creekside Shopping Center.   The female matched the description of the suspect. The female was positively identified, by witnesses, as the person seen fleeing from the Honda. The female had keys, in her hand, when she was detained by officers.  One of the keys fit the Honda’s door and ignition.  27 year old Madelyn Torres, of Napa was arrested for Vehicle Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, Felony Hit and Run, and Driving on a Suspended License.  Torres was transported the County Regional Medical Center, for medical clearance, then taken to the Martinez Detention Facility.

 

INTOXICATED SUBJECT: On April 18, 2013, at 10:55pm an Officer was on a traffic stop in the 800 block of Willow Ave.  He heard a male voice yelling something about missing his bus.  The Officer located an adult male was walking down Willow Avenue, and the male displayed objective symptoms of intoxication. It appeared the male was unable to care for himself.  45 year old Lawrence Gillum, of Richmond, was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

 

VANDALISM: On April 18, 2013, at 10:46 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Crosswind Court.  A Hercules resident reported someone broke the windshield, and rear window, of her 2002 Hyundai Accent.  The vehicle was parked in front of her residence.  The incident occurred sometime between 10:40 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. 

 

VANDALISM: On April 19, 2013, at 5:57 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Violet.  The Hercules resident said at approximately 10:00 p.m.(April 18, 2013) she heard a loud smashing noise. She looked out the front window of her residence and observed a male, in all dark clothing, running down Violet.  The reporting party did not notice the damage to her vehicle until the next morning when she was leaving for work.
