Coroner IDs Man Fatally Shot in Driveway of El Sobrante Home
Francisco Lopez Medina of El Sobrante was shot on Sunday night.
The Contra Costa County coroner's office has identified a man shot and killed Sunday night in the driveway of an El Sobrante home as Francisco Lopez Medina, 32, of El Sobrante.
Deputies with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office responded around 9:40 p.m. to a shooting on the 4200 block of Santa Rita Road and found Medina suffering from gunshot wounds, according to sheriff's office spokesman Jimmy Lee.
Medina was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was later pronounced dead.
