A Hercules Police officer was fueling his patrol car Monday when a vehicle passed by with "an obvious odor of burnt marijuana coming from within the vehicle."
"The Officer asked the driver if he could speak with him and the driver voluntarily stopped the vehicle and spoke to the Officer," according to the Hercules Police Department. "There were three adults and one juvenile in the vehicle. The driver stated they smoked marijuana in the vehicle earlier and there was more marijuana in the vehicle. A contraband search was conducted and the Officer located approximately 75 pills, believed to be a controlled substance, on the left rear passenger seat. A 44 year old male admitted the pills were his. The male was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and was transported to the Hercules Police Department for booking. He was later released, pending further investigation."
