Car From Homicide Found in Washington State

Hercules detectives are on their way to interview the suspects deputies in Washington arrested Wednesday.

Update: The married couple arrested in a Seattle suburb Wednesday morning while driving Susie Ko's car are wanted in Southern California for a jailbreak and the attempted murder of a police officer.

Darnell Washington, 24, escaped from the San Bernadino County Jail with help from his wife Tania Washington, 25, in August, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. On Sept. 2, the pair exchanged gunfire with a deputy in South El Monte. The deputy was wounded in the shootout. 

SeaTac police stopped the couple Wednesday morning in the suburb south of Seattle and arrested them at gunpoint.

From the Hercules Police Department: 

On Oct. 10, the Hercules Police Department received a call from the King County Sheriff’s Department [in Washington state] stating they had stopped the stolen vehicle from our homicide. The vehicle was occupied by two suspects.  The suspects were arrested on local charges and are being detained on Hercules’ stolen vehicle case.

Hercules Detectives will be in route to King County, Washington to interview the suspects.
