Best Buy Evacuated Following Friday Bomb Threat

No suspicious devices were found, according to law enforcement officials.

A Best Buy store in Pinole was evacuated Friday evening after the store received a bomb threat, police said.

The store, at 1490 Fitzgerald Drive, was evacuated shortly before 8 p.m. by store personnel after the threat was received, according to police Commander Peter Janke.

Police established a perimeter and interviewed staff, and called in BART police with a bomb sniffing police dog for assistance, Janke said.

Officers searched the store, and no suspicious devices were found. Store employees were allowed to re-enter around 10 p.m.
