Armed Robbery at Chipotle in Pinole: Employees Beaten, Suspects Still at Large

Three men robbed a Pinole Chipotle Restaurant at gunpoint Sunday night, fleeing the scene with cash and leaving several employees injured.

The Pinole Police Department is still searching for the suspects, who according to witnesses, took off in a tan colored, possibly an older Toyota model, sedan from the Chipotle at 2696 Pinole Valley Rd. in Pinole. 

According to the press release, officers of the Pinole Police Department were dispatched to the scene at 10:09 p.m. after a caller reported two males had robbed the business at gun point. By the time officers arrived, the suspects fled the scene. Police searched the area for the suspect vehicle, but to no avail.

Officers learned a total of three male suspects entered the store through the rear door just after closing. Employees were pistol whipped and beaten. The state of their conditions remain unknown.

At the time of the robbery, the suspects covered their faces using hooded sweatshirts and were possibly wearing masks. No further suspect descriptions are available at this time.
