We didn't hear anything from the police about them not liking JB's humor. (Maybe JB has heard from them, though; I have no idea). But I can see where it is a delicate situation. There's definitely a way to be light and playful with some of these police calls, but there's also a fine line that shouldn't be crossed, out of respect for the work done by police and those involved in the crimes. We'll keep this stuff in mind when we do the log next week.

Let's see, I'll bet you are the same "Jason" who posted last week regarding Benicia Schools: "If the district has $7 million to burn, use it to compensate for any lost state funds after kicking out all the trash from Vallejo." Yep, that's you all right. Stupid is as stupid posts.

His humor was good, but also it seemed the logs came more often with him in charge. We almost went a month without them over the holidays and still sparingly get them. And are those all the calls for the last few days? Thankfully Benicia is a safe town, but only two calls on the 20th?

I think we need these alerts more frequently. I don't care as much about the humor, but do care about what is happening in the community. JB used to send them daily through the week, and a combine the events of the weekend to send on Monday. Please consider following this schedule and put all events in the report (including barking dogs and false alarms!). Once a week is not enough.

Sometimes people just move on. JB was great I have to say, but maybe we should try and give the new person some time to get rolling. I agree that more frequent than once a week is a great plan. Hopefully it will happen.
