Stop the attack on Prop 13

At the Hercules City Council Meeting last night, October 22, Vice-Mayor Myrna de Vera announced that a group called Evolve-CA was going to be speaking at the West County Mayor's and Supervisor's Meeting on Thursday, October 24 in El Cerrito.  Evolve-CA is a group whose goal is to dismantle and change Prop 13.  Evolve-CA wants the Mayor's group to sign a resolution in support of changing Prop 13. 

Vice-Mayor de Vera also requested that a presentation by Evolve-CA be added to the Hercules City Council Agenda at a later date.  Thankfully, Councilmember Dan Romero expressed his disagreement with this proposal.  A vote was taken of the City Council Members and Council Member Bill Kelly, Dan Romero, and Mayor John Delgado all voted NO to having Evolve-CA making a presentation at an upcoming Hercules City Council Meeting.
