Poll: Should Patch Publish Names of Drivers Cited for Talking on a Cell Phone?

This poll is in reaction to something said at the Coffee with the Cops event at First Street Cafe.

About 40 people crowded into the upstairs room at the to hear from and ask questions of Benicia Police Chief Andrew Bidou and officers from the Benicia Police Department.

During a wide ranging discussion about pedestrian saftey one person mentioned there are a lot of people who still drive while talking on their cell phones and those are the people who seem most likely to nearly run people over in cross walks.

Bobby, Sing like no one is listening. Do it in front of Starbucks or join the people at First and Military on Thursdays. As I said before, the campaign is over. It is time for us all to come together to find solutions to problems that face our lovely city.

Just recently, I have been seeing an unusual number of people talking on cell-phones while driving. Some of them appear so engrossed in their conversations that they appear almost unaware of what they are doing. Teenage girls seem particuarly likely to be the culprits. It is against the law, but there are an awful lot of people who don't seem to realize, or if they do, simply don't give a damn. Publish the names, and a photo if you have one..

For Gods's sake Bobby!! Only you could have managed to have inserted "Slavery" into this conversation! Is there any subject that is immune to your racist attitudes? the answer to that is NO!

11:23 Am, Friday, Nov 18. Jim Pugh, this is what you wrote about Vallejo. I stayed away from it out of respect for our fallen Officer and his Family!!! NOW WHO IS THE RACIST!!! "The city of Vallejo has turned into a killing field these days. It is no wonder given that the size of the force directed to control such things is just no longer large enough to stop these things from happening. It is sad that enough though Officer Capoot was wearing full body armour, he was unable to keep from being fatally shot. Today the animals are controling the Zoo which is now called Vallejo. jimpugh"
