Big Guns For Sale at Big 5-Are Pinoleans and Herculeseans happy with military style guns being sold in our beloved strip malls? My 16 year old son was aghast last night when we stopped by the Big 5 on Fitzgerald to buy some warm winter gloves and witnessed a father shopping with his two school age sons for a semi-auto rifle. I said "sorry Josh--the Bay Area may feel like a bubble some times but this is America right there before your eyes". When I remarked about it to the store clerk she responded sarcastically - "yeah it's for home protection".
