Pinole-Hercules Death Notices

Some of the people with connections to Pinole and Hercules who passed away recently

Chris Gunnell, a resident of Pinole, was raised in Berkeley, graduating from Berkeley High School in 1964. He was in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. He worked for 37 years as a switchman operator for Santa Fe and Union Pacific railroads. Gunnell passed away on July 18 at the age of 66.

John Pierce Curtis, a resident of Pinole, was born in Oklahoma and moved to Pinole in the 1960s. He worked for years as a steamfitter. Curtis passed away on July 22 at the age of 82.

Patsy Smith, a resident of Hercules, passed away on July 12 at the age of 72. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 31.
