Poll: A Doritos Taco — Delicious or Dangerous?

The newest addition to the Taco Bell menu is a taco with a shell made of nacho-cheese flavor Doritos. Is it a heart attack waiting to happen... or a healthier choice?

There's a new taco in town, and it's stirring up some controversy. The Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell has been declared the result of an inevitable fusion of fast food and junk food. The taste? An inevitable fusion of love and vomit, according to some reviewers.

It certainly sounds like another tastebud tingler with unhealthy consequences for the stomach as well as the heart. So do you have to be crazy to order the Doritos Locos Taco?

The basic Doritos Locos Taco packs 170 calories and 9 grams of fat — that's fewer calories and less fat than nine of the 13 tacos on Taco Bell's menu. Make it "supreme," by adding sour cream and diced tomatoes, and it's stats for fat and calories still make it a "healthier" choice than almost half of Taco Bell's taco offerings.

But, of course, there's a catch.

The Doritos Locos Taco also happens to be the smallest serving size on the menu at 78 grams — the same as the Crunchy Taco, which is almost 20 grams lighter than all other tacos.
