Volunteer Literacy Tutors Needed!

Make a difference! Help a adult learn to read. Become a volunteer tutor at Project Second Chance!

Project Second Chance, the Contra Costa County Library adult literacy program, is offering training for volunteer tutors. Volunteers are needed to help adults who want to improve their basic reading, writing and spelling skills. The training takes place on Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30-8:30 pm and the following two Saturdays from 9:30 am- 3:30 pm. All 14 hours are required.Training takes place at the Pleasant Hill Library, but tutoring can take place at the library of your choice.

To take the training, you must pre-register. Apply on-line at http://ccclib.org/psc/tutors/html. Registration is open until spots are filled.
