Where Do You Fill Up In Pinole-Hercules When Gas Prices Shoot Up?

Pump prices in the East Bay have risen 58 cents per gallon the past month. Where do you fill up?

Now that gasoline has jumped more than a half dollar a gallon, is there a station you've found in the Pinole-Hercules area that isn't as expensive as the others?

Let us know in the comments. Your neighbors will appreciate it.

The commute page on Pinole-Hercules Patch shows an array of prices around town. A cheap price can be difficult to find.

In California, gasoline prices have risen 57 cents per gallon the past month to an average of $4.22 for a gallon of regular unleaded.

In the East Bay, gas prices have increased 58 cents the past month to $4.15 for a gallon of unleaded regular. That price is up 16 cents in the past week.

Why have gasoline prices risen so sharply? Is it seasonal? Is it supply and demand? Is it manufactured? Here's one blogger's opinion. Give us your thoughts in the comments section.

I very seldom gas up in Hercules. I am in Concord at least once per week. I fill up at either Costco, or the Safeway on Contra Costa Blvd., or the ARCO next to Costco in Concord.

I work in Walnut Creek and fill up in Concord in the early morning. Lot cheaper than Hercules. Competion is a good thing. I'd welcome a Safeway with 16 pumps in Hercules, but until that time I'll shop elsewhere.

The Shell station is always the highest in the area...So unfortunately, I almost never fill up in town. Flyers on SPA in Pinole or Costco gets my gas money.

Valero Corner Store Appian Way corner Fitzgerald Ave. or Shell Station Appian Way in front USPS El Sobrante...They are at least 20cents cheaper than our Shell Station here in town.
