Sadly, the city owns too much property that generates nothing but weeds...Would like to see, or to have seen, a much more aggressive effort to fill our empty lots and spaces. While everyone has an opinion on what the right business is for any location, and certainly what the wrong business is...the bottom line is, we need to fill our vacancies.

It would be interesting to me to see a map showing all the property our city "Owns." I do not understand why a city would be in the property business in the first place. Is there a shortage of Real Estate Companies and property management firms? How many business' rent or lease their property or their present location from the city?

Panera Bread Company and possibly Kaye Jewelers. The way they have the parking lot blocked off right now needs to be adjusted ASAP. What a nightmare!

Good suggestion, Richard. The city has a list of all the vacant properties it owns. I'll look into creating a map of them.

Any commercial building fronting San Pablo Ave, will need a parking area and a reasonable ingress/egress or there will be problems there...
