Pet of the Week: Pele the Photogenic Pup

Name of Pet: Pele

Pet's Age: A little over two years.

Pet's Breed: Terrier 

Tricks: Yes! He knows sit, stay, lay down, play dead, shake hand, high-five and double high-five!

Favorite Toy: He loves playing with his soccer ball. But his current toy is a stuffed ghost from Halloween.

How long have you had him?

A year and a half.

Where did you get him?

We adopted him from the Martinez Animal Shelter.

What are his personality/traits?

Pele is a very sweet silly dog and loves people. He enjoys laying on our lap, lounging in the sun, and people/cat watching on his window sill.

What is his typical day like?

Wakes up rejuvenated and is very playful. We take him for a walk in the morning. Eats breakfast. Window watching for cats. Naps. Then we take him for a short afternoon walk. Eats dinner. Plays. Looks out the windows watching (for cats). Bedtime.

What is he afraid of? 

Fireworks and thunder.

What is the weirdest thing he has done? 

Nothing yet.

Why did you specifically choose him to be your pet? 

When we saw him in the Animal Shelter he was very calm and well behaved. He showed a lot of affection when we spent time with him. He was also the right size for our house. 

What does he like to do most? 

He is a very sweet, playful dog. He loves to be around us and we loving having him.
