Invitation to Our New Photo and Video Gallery

We have made some recent changes — at once subtle and substantial. Because we are all about inclusion and encouragement, we are inviting readers to directly share their photos and videos. We've also made it ridiculously easy.

Check out our Neighborhood Gallery. It allows you to upload images directly to our site. You don't have to ask our permission and you can can submit them at your convenience.

Here is how. Click on link above or on the right-center "Gallery" tab near the top of any Hercules Patch page. Our photo/video gallery page will appear. Once there, you'll see, just above the first photo, a button that reads, "Submit Photo and Video." Click there and you're on your way.

Submissions don't have to be "newsy." We want to expand the Patch experience to embrace the vast imaginations and whims of people in Hercules. You can see examples in the existing gallery.

We know that people are shooting photos and videos more than ever. Sometimes the experience screams out to be shared. We trust that you'll know the image, the moment, the emotion or the artistic angle that friends or even strangers will enjoy.

No matter how personal or how communal the images, we know the Neighborhood Gallery will add unique value to the Hercules Patch community. As we get submissions, we will grow our photo album and video library for everyone to view.

So take advantage whenever the mood or the motivation strikes. We're all in this together.
