Hercules Chamber of Commerce Recognizes Special Herculeans

The group held an awards ceremony for standout Hercules businesses and residents.

Hercules residents and businesses were recently honored by the Hercules Chamber of Commerce for helping to better the community.

The Powder Keg Pub and Seafood Café took home the business of the year award. Dionne Dunn made Citizen of the Year. Resident and Hanna Ranch Elementary School teacher Sarah Creeley was Woman of the Year and Educator of the Year. Joseph Vasquez, who was recognized by the Hercules Police Department for his work with the city, is Police Officer of the Year, which Captain John Houseman is Firefighter of the Year. Alexis Baxter was honored as Hercules Youth of the Year and Jo Ellen Marcotte received special recognition.
